This is made same as dhal curry but only difference is adding Spinach.
Dhal Curry with Spinach
Ingredients
½ cup dhal
500g spinach (only the leaves without stems)
2 red onions sliced
1 green chilli sliced
2 cloves garlic crushed
1 sprig of curry leaves
2” rampe
¼ tsp turmeric
10 seeds fenugreek
½ tsp chilli flakes ( Optional )
Small piece of cinnamon
Salt to taste
½ cup thin coconut milk
½cup thick coconut milk
Soak dhal for about 10 minutes and wash thoroughly. Add all the ingredients into the pan except thick coconut milk and spinach.
Cook covered with a lid in low heat till tender. Then add spinach.
Cook uncovered till spinach is blanched. ( if covered the bright green colour will be lost )
Add thick milk. Let it boil for further 1 minute . Remove from heat ( after adding spinach always keep heat at low. )

In the Dal with spinach recipe Blog line up the picture – the thumbnail picture in the list – shows BEAN CURRY. (not when we open the recipe page but when we look at recipe list).
It was confusing at the beginning for me because the recipe after that is a bean curry too. I think the photos have not got uploaded in the correct places…always an issue when uploading to websites.
